Fandt lige det her digt i en bog, som jeg lige har købt (the Bulldog Bible). Det er bare så fint, synes jeg

 

The Bulldog – So Proud

The bulldog, so proud with his perfect stance

Quite often won’t give you a second glance

His face, it’s been said, did collide with a wall

But that is his beauty, those good looks and all

His snuffling noises let you know that he’s coming

As he saunters along, dragging big paws a plodding

He’ll come if he wants to, and won’t if he don’t

But has love for you all and a silky soft coat

Would let burglars in, as a guard dog don’t bother

But he loves cuddles and fuss and at tea time will hover

He’s mischievous, stubborn and behaves like a clown

But there’s a very clever dog underneath that frown

He’s clumsy, he’s heavy – has absolutely no manners

He’s lazy but loyal, not one of life’s runners

He blunders through life and at times is quite silly

But if want a best friend, choose the Great British Bully
