We send kisses into the sky towards a little black and white dog who slipped quietly off the planet this week after falling ill to cancer. Oliver was one of the more tender hearted dogs who found salvation when the V-dogs got their lucky break back in 2007. After leaving his abuser, he endured several long, difficult months in a Virginia animal shelter alongside dogs including Uba, Gi...nger, Jhumpa and Hector before going to live at Best Friends Animal Society, and then on to his adopted family. He was too shy to do the public outings that some of the other dogs have done, but he was a huge celebrity to the people who knew him - to his family, especially. Thank you for what you did to help the pit bulls following in your footsteps, Oliver. You made a mark on all of our hearts and changed us forever.
