HI! We are Isabelle and Pia

 

Pia is my maltese dog, and we live in Aalborg. Unfortunetly Pia just turned 6 and this week is the last chance she has in her life to mate and have puppies. Please I am looking for a yorkie, maltese, chihuahua, or any other toy breed male of less than 8pounds to mate with her.

 

It is urgent and so important for us

Is it a first for her or has she tried it before?

This would be her first time, we moved to Denmark two years ago and somehow always postponed it.

It is way too late for her. 4 years is the oldest, when a bitch is giving birth for the first time.

Her vet said that it was the last time she could do it becuase small dogs can have puppies between 6-7 yrs, but I will check again and have a second opinion. thanks for telling me this, I do not want to cause a health problem for her

It is generally said that a dog should give give no later than at 4 (if it is her first litter) as the pelvis "sets" at this age. Which means chances are big for a difficult birth if mated the first time at this rather high age.

 

I personally tend to disbelief much of what the vet tells me as they too need to run a business and most likely would find it good business to have a dog in for a caesarean... Which could very well be the case with an old first-timer.
